Technology and media course

this course was really useful to me. It show me new vision about how can we use technology in order to extend knowledge. A new vision of how can we use Power point. The virtual classroom project was really brilliant idea which provides teachers in new methods that serve education process.

Think out of box

Usually teacher stick in curriculum and ask students also to stick in it. Nowadays another processes and skills are required. Thinking out of the box is a process that enable students to think creativity and imaginatively. This process  comprehends the implementation of an unusual approach to the logical thinking structure. For example:  nine dots puzzle. Students need to think in unusual way. .     .     . .     .     . .     .     . you need to match them by using four lines only. Here they need to think out of the box  it must be that help students to think in unusual and to imagine as much they can.

Social skills you should teach to your children

- Teach them how to be good listener. - Respect others opinions. - When to speak up - Positive communication.

Teach me how to learn.

In the past century, teaching was limited inside the classroom, teacher centered, and students were only listener. students were asked to be examined by the curriculum they had in their books. Nowadays education focuses on teaching students how to learn, where to find information, critical thinking, communication and skills that are needed in their life. That what they call it: thinking out of the box. students go out of their classroom size and their books to find a large number of resources and communicate with people in all over the world. That will enhance self taught, and then the learner will be provided with the skills that are required in their every day life.

TPR

TPR (Total Physical Response) is very important technique which enhance students achievement specially for English language teaching. It's  similar somehow to how baby learn the native language from his family.  The activities can be designed by using TPR. The main idea is to ask students to do some thing physically by voice commands, for example: you can use action verbs with any topic: - pick the red ball up, then walk to the board, paste it on the board - take the nose (picture show the nose), jump to the corner, through it in the basket. - fly to your friend MHD, put your hand on his head (body part) finally think how can you benefit of this technique.

Circle time

Circle time is a technique that you would like to start your day with your students, given that the various benefits that are achieved by using this technique. It takes 15 min at the start of school day. It aims to develop students skills, communication, making friends, recognition friends' interests and being social.....etc Have your students standing in circle, then start discussion. It's time students have a chance to tell about their feelings, difficulties, and different topics posed by the teacher for discussion. Here teachers can encourage their students share opinions, experiences or may find solution for problems they usually face. Students can communicate, make friendships and be prepared and more excited for rest of the day. Rules must be respected: respect the other and listen while they are speaking, and many different rules you can list to make your circle more beneficial.
